Guiding Principles

Intel® Teach employs a teacher-led training system. The curriculum puts premium on teaching and learning strategies and practices in integrating technology into the existing school curriculum, using the Internet as an information resource center and communication tool, enhancing teacher productivity, and creating technology-enhanced learning activities. Teachers learn how, when and where to promote effective technology use in the classroom.

Designed for both pre-service and in-service K-12 teachers including ICT lab teachers, program participants learn the optimal ways to integrate technology tools and resources into their own lessons to promote student-centered 21st century learning. The program also supports the implementation of peer review and collaborative problem solving.

The Intel® Teach Program has trained over 4 million teachers in more than 40 countries to create environments where students work collaboratively developing skills to address real-world concerns. To date, over 74,000 secondary school (in-service) Filipino teachers and pre-service students have benefited from the Intel® Teach Program.
